Expression Web Notes

When changing or adding hyperlinks in the footer of the Master Style Sheet, save only one at a time. It seems that if you change several and then save "bad things happen." Some of the links come up incomplete and some don't come through at all.

To open a web site always click on Open Site. If you click on Open File you will be unable to open the site.

Never change the FILE NAME default.htm or index.htm. You can name it anything you want in properties, but if you change the default.htm (or index) the web browser will be unable to find your home page.

When using the Small Business 6 template you can change the width of the way the site displays by using styles | style3.css. You can change elements proportionately directly in the code. If you do not make this change the web displays as very narrow in the center of the screen. While the length of the page can easily be adjusted by simply adding to the page, the width is "locked" unless you change it per above.
